Chris (age eight) and Tina (age six) are typical little kids who believe like most children do that the world revolves around them. They've been raised with unconditional love and taught not to judge those who are different, be it color, race, religion, or whatever else that might not be considered acceptable by others. That all changes in an instant, for you see, during the night, Mom turned purple and Dad turned green. Chris and Tina immediately get angry and scared, announcing the unfairness of it all. Are their friends still going to want to play with them? And what are their friends' parents going to think? And is this something they will be teased about at school? They then realize their folks didn't do it on purpose and how sad and sorry they are and that they are even willing to go live in a cave if that would make it easier for their kids. As the kids start thinking of how their parents always treated their friends with the same love and acceptance and how much they've done for their neighbors, they understand that every family has a different normal. Chris and Tina discover the power of love. Love can solve every problem no matter the size. With the love in their family, being purple and green isn't so bad when one is your mom and one is your dad.
