It focuses on the life writings of three Colombian social movement leaders and contrasts them with the memoirs of a hegemonic ex-president. These autobiographies and their representation of nonviolence are analyzed examining the ‘emplotment’ â€"the structuring of storytelling sequences and its narrative devices.
