At one point a set designer, and then later a film critic, Arthur Weigall (1880â€"1934) is chiefly remembered as an Egyptologist. This 1923 work, written in response to surging public interest following the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb, covers archaeological and historical subjects, with the tomb as its starting point.
