Although the author Anthony Trollope (1815â€"82) enjoyed much success as a novelist, he was also a perceptive travel writer. This account of his voyage to the Caribbean - including stops in Jamaica, Cuba and Panama - was published in 1859, and provides a vivid picture of a diverse and fascinating region.
