Isaeus, an Attic orator of the fourth century BCE, made speeches which exemplify the intrigue of ancient inheritance disputes. First published in 1904, this learned edition of his surviving speeches, with a critical introduction and commentary by the classical scholar William Wyse (1860â€"1929), remains a standard work.
