Archaeological excavations in New Romney by Pre-Construct Archaeology identified evidence for medieval occupation, fishing and seafaring on the foreshore at the northeastern end of the town. This title presents the findings of these excavations and also provides an historical background to the town and an exploration of its role as a Cinque Port.
