Richard Hakluyt (1552?â€"1616) was an indefatigable editor and translator of geographical accounts. His most famous work was first published in 1589, and expanded in 1598â€"1600: this reissue is of the twelve-volume edition of 1903â€"5. Volume 11 contains accounts of Brazil, Magellan's straits, the South Seas, and circumnavigations.
