Set in 1980s England, Blackthorn Panther, at the age of twenty-four, sets up his own private investigation agency, Panther Investigations, after leaving the police force as a disillusioned young man. However, he soon evolves into a heroic young PI who experiences a plentiful array of both riveting and occasionally comical exploits.
