From parking lots to Zoom calls, rooftop gardens to ruined convents, theatre practitioners around the world are staging Shakespeare in a diversity of spaces beyond the conventional theatre. This Element argues that theatre-makers demonstrate 'tactical intelligence' with Shakespeare's plays in site-specific performance to spatial constraints.
