Traditionally, Wagnerian scholarship has always treated the "Ring" and "Parsifal" as two separate works. This volume argues that "Parsifal" is in fact, the fifth opera in the "Ring". It also shows how the four main characters go through the cycle of life, and are finally reborn - completing their spiritual journey.
