Mediterra 2009, the fruit of cooperation between the Ciheam and the Blue Plan, analyzes the new dynamics of Mediterranean rural worlds in order to discuss the status of implementation of sustainable development strategies and to take a fresh look at the policies implemented in rurl areas.
The Ciheam is an intergovernmental organisation which has become an authority on cooperation, research and agricultural training in the Mediterranean and now has thirteen member states in the region.
The Bleu Plan is a regional activity centre of the Mediterranean Action Plan of the United Nations Environment Programm.
