The publications of the Hakluyt Society (founded in 1846) made available edited (and sometimes translated) early accounts of exploration. This 1857 volume contains Girolamo Benzoni's History of the New World, published in 1565. It combines a history of the New World with an account of what Benzoni himself saw there.
