This seventeenth-century work (reissued in a 20-volume 1905â€"7 edition) follows Richard Hakluyt's Principal Navigations in recording voyages of exploration. Volume 14 describes voyages to Greenland, Scandinavia and Russia (including a journey of two Cossacks to China), and begins an account of the West Indies.
