Presents the tools necessary for fusing geological characterization and investigation with critical analysis for obtaining engineering design criteria. This work covers developments such as: remotely sensed satellite imagery; global positioning systems (GPS); geophysical exploration; cone penetrometer testing; and, earthquake studies.
