Examines the relationship between people and divine beings through the long tradition of visions of mysterious wayfarers in rural Spain, the phenomenon of religious images, apparently exuding blood, sweat, and tears in Spanish homes and churches and transposition of medieval and early modern human-divine representations into modern photography.
