In 1795, the landscape gardener Humphry Repton (1752â€"1818) published a letter addressed to Uvedale Price (1747â€"1829) which disputed some of the points in Price's 1794 essay on the connection between landscape painting and landscape gardening. This 1798 second edition of Price's reply includes Repton's letter.
