This book identifies what constitutes good reporting of conflict, and shows how and why it enables journalism to play a beneficial role in public spheres. It tests its proposals by fieldwork in four countries â€" Australia, the Philippines, South Africa and Mexico â€" and shows how they make a difference to audience responses.
