A reluctant Jewish warrior in the first century is drawn in to defend the city of Jerusalem and its Temple against two enemies: One, a zealous fanatic leading a civil war from within the city; and the other, General Titus and his massive war machine of Roman legions marching upon the city to destroy it from without.
