Foresters (subfamily Procridinae) are the only group of zygaenid moths found in Australia. These attractive day-flying moths have an unusual biology-they are capable of releasing prussic (hydrocyanic) acid. This book is the first study of the Australian species, many of which feature iridescent green colours or appear wasp-like.
