The question of what to do about the dragons has finally reached every corner of the world.
Nico longs for simpler times at home with Brant and Gustopher. Instead, they are following a secretive dragon on a cross-country road trip bound for who-knows-where. The trouble is, they are getting recognized everywhere, and then the FBI confronts them with an ultimatum. They can surrender the dragon or answer to the United States government and the global magical community.
But the trio have many powerful allies on their side. Ms. Marguerita has international connections. Remi can be astonishingly persuasive. And in each city, new dragons and their kin offer more resources. They strategize a plan for dragons to have legal personhood status, allowing them the same freedoms as humans and magickind.
As churches, sporting leagues, and indigenous tribes all release statements of either pro- or anti-dragon sentiment, an international summit is called which will change the world, forever.
Through it all, Nico is puzzled as he sees Gustopher get more distracted, refusing to share why or who xer is seeking. Who is so important? What will the summit decide? And what's next if the vote goes against his beloved dragon?
