This book was created as a guide to follow the recent International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) roadmap for training in urogynecology published in 2024. The chapters/topics discussed are those suggested by IUGA Fellowship development committee and can serve as an introduction to the basics of urogynecology that should be pursued by all trainees desiring a focused treatise on the field of urogynecology.
Clinical assessment is presented holistically, combining symptom assessment, severity and bother evaluation, lifestyle and precipitating factors, and appropriate use of diagnostic tools.
