A man awakens on December 26th to find his wife Partridge missing, taken by the notorious Twelve Drummers. Armed with only a pear-wood club and driven by desperate love, he embarks on a surreal quest through a bizarre wasteland where giant turtle doves fly, French hens speak his language, and death itself watches his journey. But as fragments of memory break through, he begins to suspect this isn't the first time he's walked this blood-soaked path—and something far darker than the Drummers awaits him at journey's end.
