This was the area that witnessed the London UnitedTramway s early trolleybus routes as well as operationsof Croydon Corporation. Although many of the routeswere to be converted before the outbreak of war inSeptember 1939, a number were to survive right throughuntil the final conversion of the system between 1950 and1952.
