This book is a commemorative collection for the late renowned historian and Peking University professor, Mr. Zhang Chuanxi. Mr. Zhang passed away on February 27, 2021. To deeply commemorate his moral character and academic achievements, his disciple and famous scholar Mr. Yue Qingping initiated the organization of an editorial committee, inviting friends, colleagues, and students of Mr. Zhang who have been influenced by his teachings, as well as his family and disciples, to contribute excellent works. The collection, "In Memory of Mr. Zhang Chuanxi," is edited and published by Zhonghua Book Company. The content of this book is mainly divided into three parts: first, the "Commemorative Symposium for Mr. Zhang Chuanxi" special topic, which includes news reports and refined speeches from the symposium held by Peking University on the anniversary of Mr. Zhang's death; second, the "In Remembrance" section, which collects commemorative articles recalling Mr. Zhang's life and interactions with him; third, the "Scholarship" section, which includes academic papers evaluating Mr. Zhang's academic achievements or related to his research field. The book provides precious and previously unknown materials about Mr. Zhang Chuanxi, and the academic papers collected in the book, from scholars of different ages in the domestic historical community, discuss many aspects of the history of the Qin and Han dynasties, and have high academic value.
