Fluorescence has become the dominant tool in biotechnology and medical imaging. This work aims to summarize the state-of-the-art in fluorescent sensing. It contains chapters that deal with small molecule sensors, such as anions, cations, and CO2. It also has chapters that offer information about protein-based and macromolecular sensors.
