Sobre o livro
What a lot of drops in the city! allows us to capture an instant in the life of a series of affectionate and delicate characters, through the shower of a cloud burst, that could well be in summer.
The text and images by Eva Montanari recreate with a special poetic charge the adventure the little drops set out on (up to 10!) that precede a downpour, annoyingly or untimely arrive without being seen by those who have to put up with them.
The writer, who is also the illustrator, proposes a plastic work of a sculptural character using different materials - paper, ceramic…- spectacularly imposed taking up the double page designed according to the vertical position of the human figures that represent a flood of fantastic characters camouflaged in the city, although recognizable in their human aspect.
The text by Eva Montanari reminds us of the importance of knowing how to amuse ourselves and to enjoy the little things, at the same time the images allow us to go more deeply into spaces of a peculiar urban taste. The project, as a whole, is a good excuse to get closer to mathematics in an amusing and dynamic way.
